White Sands National Park
There’s something magical about White Sands. Sleeping on the vast gypsum dunefield under a canopy of stars is truly mesmerizing. Each sunset paints the sands in colors you have to see to believe. It’s a surreal experience that makes you feel like you’re on another planet.
Jemez Springs
This little haven in the Santa Fe National Forest is my go-to for a quick weekend detox. Between the soothing sounds of the Jemez River and the natural hot springs, Jemez Springs is a therapeutic escape from the everyday hustle. Plus, the hiking here never disappoints.

Chaco is a site that connects you with the ancient world. Camping among the ruins, under skies so clear the Milky Way shines like a neon sign, is something everyone should experience. It’s like a live history lesson wrapped in a starry blanket.

Tucked in the Moreno Valley, Cimarron Canyon is my favorite spot to escape the summer heat. The high cliffs offer plenty of shade, making it an ideal spot for relaxing by the river with a good book or my fishing pole.

I love water sports, and Elephant Butte is my playground! Whether I’m kayaking, fishing, or just lounging on the beach, it’s the perfect place to turn a simple camping trip into a fun-filled retreat.
Carlsbad Caverns National Park
Exploring Carlsbad Caverns then camping nearby to catch the early morning cave tours is an adventure I’ll never tire of. The caverns’ cool air and massive underground chambers are as humbling as they are beautiful.
